Choose the Right Window Film for Your Space

Each film type does a different job. Some soften views for privacy, some carry your logo, and some turn glass frontage into advertising space. Start with the option closest to your project, then compare them in the table further down this page.

Plain Frosted Privacy Film

A translucent, etched-glass appearance for office partitions, glass doors and selected interior or exterior glazing applications, subject to product suitability.
Benefit: Softens views into meeting rooms and offices while keeping spaces bright.

Plotted Frost Film

Custom-cut frosted designs, company logos, lettering, privacy bands and decorative patterns produced from suitable frosted vinyl.
Benefit: Combines privacy with your corporate identity on the glass itself.

Printed Frost Film

Custom frosted graphics incorporating approved logos, brand elements, patterns and other artwork, depending on the chosen printable material.
Benefit: Adds brand colour and graphics to an etched-glass finish.

Printed One-Way Vision Film

Perforated window graphics designed to display promotional or brand artwork on the outward-facing surface while allowing some visibility through the film under suitable viewing and lighting conditions.
Benefit: Turns shopfront glass into large-format advertising space.
Option 1

Frosted Window Film for Offices and Glass Partitions

Plain frosted film gives clear glass a translucent, etched-glass appearance. It diffuses light rather than blocking it, so rooms stay bright while views through the glass become soft and indistinct. That visual separation helps people concentrate in meeting rooms and gives private offices a calmer feel without replacing the glazing.
Frosting diffuses views; it does not necessarily provide complete visual privacy in every condition. How much can be seen depends on lighting on each side of the glass, viewing distance and the film selected. If a space needs strict confidentiality, we assess it separately before recommending a specification.
Option 2

Plotted Frost Film and Custom-Cut Glass Graphics

Plotted frost is produced on a cutting plotter, which cuts the required shapes, letters and designs from suitable frosted vinyl. The unwanted material is removed and the finished design is applied to the glass, leaving crisp frosted graphics against clear areas.
Combining a privacy treatment with your logo or brand pattern keeps the glass functional and on-brand at the same time, which suits offices that want a consistent corporate identity from reception through to the boardroom. Very fine detail, small text and intricate shapes are limited by the material and the finished size, so we review your artwork before confirming what can be cut.
Option 3

Printed Frost Film for Branded Glass and Office Interiors

Printed frost uses a suitable printable frosted film to combine an etched-glass effect with your approved brand artwork, colours, patterns and graphic elements. It suits projects where a cut design alone cannot carry the brand, such as colour logos, gradients or full patterned panels.
Print appearance, opacity, colour reproduction and suitability all depend on the selected film, the printing process and the artwork supplied. Not every frosted film can take full-colour printing, so we confirm the material and show you how the artwork will be laid out before production.

Option 4

Printed One-Way Vision Window Graphics

One-way vision film is a perforated material that carries printed graphics on the outward-facing side, while the tiny holes allow some view-through from the opposite side under suitable conditions. It lets a shopfront work as a large-format advert without fully closing off the window.

Specification

Choosing the Right Film and Finish

There is no single best window film. The right specification comes from how the glass is used, where it is and what the film needs to achieve. We work through these factors with you before recommending a material, and we only quote performance figures that the film manufacturer publishes for the product selected.
Thickness, adhesive type, rated durability, indoor or outdoor suitability, installation method and cleaning requirements are confirmed for your chosen film in the quotation, based on the manufacturer’s data.
Applications

Window Branding for Commercial Spaces

Corporate offices and meeting rooms

Frosted partitions keep open-plan offices bright while giving meeting rooms the separation people need to focus.

Boardrooms and executive offices

Full-height frost or a branded privacy band shields sensitive discussions from passing view.

Reception areas and office partitions

Logos and lettering on reception glass greet visitors with your brand before they reach the desk.

Retail shops and showrooms

One-way vision and printed graphics turn frontage glass into promotion space that can be changed with campaigns.

Banks and professional practices

Discreet frosting on consulting rooms and teller areas supports client confidentiality while matching brand standards.

Clinics and institutions

Frosted glass on treatment rooms, offices and corridors adds privacy without blocking natural light.

Commercial property and fit-out projects

Contractors and property managers can specify glass treatments alongside partitions as part of a fit-out schedule.

Multi-branch corporate branding

A consistent frost or graphics specification can be repeated across branches so every location looks the same.

Coordinate Your Window Graphics With Your Wider Brand Environment

Glass rarely works alone. Visitors see your frosted partitions in the same glance as the reception sign, the wall graphics and the signage on the doors. Flexrad also produces reception signs, 3D signs, acrylic branding, office signage and printed vinyl and sticker graphics, so the elements of a fit-out can be planned and quoted together.
Working from one approved set of brand files across these items makes it simpler to keep colours, logos and spacing consistent, and gives your team a single point of contact for the physical branding of the space. See the full range of office and wall branding services.

Yes, subject to artwork suitability and the chosen production method. A logo may be cut from frosted vinyl or incorporated into a suitable printed frosted-film design.

Some visibility is possible through the perforations under suitable conditions. The effect changes with lighting, viewing angle and film construction, so one-way vision should not be treated as guaranteed privacy.
