What Our Holders Are Actually Made Of
Acrylic is not one material, and the difference shows up about four months in — when a cheap pocket has gone cloudy, bowed under a full stack, or cracked at a corner. This is the spec we build to.
3 mm Cast Acrylic
StandardCast, not extruded. Cast sheet is harder, laser-cuts to a clear edge instead of a milky one, and resists the crazing that makes extruded pockets go foggy. Thin 2 mm stock bows under a full A4 stack — ours does not.

FinishEvery visible edge is flame-polished to optical clarity, so the holder reads as glass rather than as a plastic offcut. No saw marks, no chalky white line along the rim.

SafetyCorners are laser-cut to a 5 mm radius. Square corners chip the first time a holder is knocked off a counter; radiused corners survive it, and are safer at child height in clinics and banking halls.

Branch rollouts and multi-site fit-outs are quoted as a project, with a delivery schedule per site.
Ask any supplier two questions: is the sheet cast or extruded, and are the edges flame-polished or just saw-cut? If the answer is vague, you are being quoted on 2 mm extruded — roughly a third of the material cost, and about a year of the service life.
Choosing a Mount
Three-quarters of the wall-mounted units we replace failed because of the fixing, not the acrylic. Pick the mount for your wall, not for the photo.

Where Brochure Holders Work Best
Reception areas and front desks are the obvious one: a visitor waiting four minutes will read whatever is within arm’s reach, which is why banks, SACCOs and insurance offices order multi-pocket racks by the dozen rather than one at a time. Put the highest-margin product in the top-left pocket — that is where eyes land first.
Hospitals, clinics and pharmacies use wall mounted holders to keep health information available without surrendering counter space, and because a fixed holder cannot be knocked into by a trolley. Hotels, restaurants and showrooms lean on countertop units for room service cards, tour information and product literature.
For exhibitions, trade shows and building entrances, floor standing racks carry a full set of titles and pack down flat. Universities and colleges run them at admissions desks and open days, where one unit has to hold six or seven course leaflets at once.
Do
Wipe with a soft microfibre cloth and plain warm soapy water. Rinse, then dry with a second clean cloth. Blow dust off first so you are not dragging grit across the surface.
Don’t
Never use ammonia-based glass cleaner, methylated spirit, acetone or paper towel. Ammonia causes micro-crazing — the fine white webbing on old holders — and it cannot be polished out.
Scratches
Light surface scratches lift with a plastic polish such as Novus 2 on a soft cloth. Deeper marks need re-polishing — bring the unit to the workshop and we will do it.

Yes. We supply glass and tile installations with pre-applied 3M VHB tape instead of screws. Tell us the surface when you order so we ship it tape-ready, and degrease the glass with alcohol before fitting.
